My Case IH dealer quoted me $299 for all 4 pistons, rings, and sleeves, $74.72 for main bearings, and $59.76 for the rod bearings. I could rebuild the whole engine for $433.48 plus tax and I didn't price a gasket set, which should run around another $110. I am debating wheither I should just rebuild the whole thing or not, I really hate to drop $500 in this engine right now, but I have already been though the experience of a catastrophic engine failure, which resulted in a windowed block, so I am kinda nervous about doing only half a job while I got it all torn down. If I knew for sure it needed it, well ok then, but if it doesn't, I really don't have the money to waste.
