There is only one seal per side. The original seal is twice as thick as the new one and has leather as the seal. You just need one new seal per side, the modern seals are much better than the originals, you could put in two if you want, but it is not necessary. Be sure and install the seals with the lip to the INSIDE of the tranny. The cork washer goes behind the washer on the bolt that holds the brake drum on the shaft. This keeps oil from leaking out from between the brake drum and shaft.
