Direction is one difference. The harder one to overcome is speed. The Cub's PTO turns at engine speed, which if high enough to produce mowing horsepower from that little engine, will be ~1500 RPM...much too fast for a mower built to run at 540 RPM. I hope you have committed to a mower designed for a Cub. If not...don't use it!
