Chuck: It is possible, you have something broken, however I always like to look at the easy and economical fixes first. I've never had any first hand experience with a 434, but a lifetime of farming with 20 different tractors, tells me to look for corosion and rust with these draft controls, especially if they haven't been used quite regularly.

Most of my tractors were parked all winter, and come spring all those little gadgets needed attention. I still have 3 tractors, mainly for gardening, grass cutting and snow plowing. That rust and corosion factor is worse now than when I worked them 500 hours per year.
