I tend to agree with the others about keeping the mag. That said consider that you also have to change the intake manifold(the switch in manifold is different for a distributer) and the kill switch (needs to be the type to allow power to flow to the coil) If you are like me and have both types of everything (way too many parts tractors) it"s not a problem, except when the wife gets on the topic of how our yard looks "like Sanford and Son".
