I own two D310's and have overhauled both. They are a very reliable engine and start easy in cold temperatures. The downsdide is that the O rings located around the cylinder sleeve need to be replaced at approx. 9000 hours or 30 years, whichever comes first. The overhaul costs extra money because the cam bearings need to be line bored when replacement is needed. This involves sending the block to a machine shop to have this done.
