I agree 100%. Valves should be set every 1000 hrs. in a perfect world. In the real world, many engines go 10,000 hrs before anyone bothers to set the valves. And it does make a huge difference on a diesel. As for injectors, they too should be pulled, tested and cleaned every 1000 hrs., at least thats what the major manufacturers recommend.
