Leave the intake manifold off and warm it up. you can put the cover and manifold on after setting the valves. Cyl running mates are 1&6,2&5, & 3&4.Turn until the valves on #6 are between ex & in, then set the valves on #1. Do the rest the same way. It takes 2 complete revolutions to set them all.
