1066 Starting issue

Lately to start my 1066 I have to shot some ether in it. Does not matter if it been running or cold. I have change out filters etc. Tractor runs ok after it starts. Sometimes when it starts it knokcs like it is getting no fuel in there but sounds normal after a second.
I am using Power Service conditioner im the diesel. Is there another filter or screen somewhere that I am missing, fuel flows great out of the fuel tank to the primary filter filter.
Any ideas why it will not start without ether.
