The holes for the seat mount? I have had the cover off several times and always just pulled the valves off before I removed the cover.. I never needed a lift...it's heavy, but not all that heavy...just ackward. Might be the screen stopped up...or you may also have some dirt in a valve body. Good luck...eat your wheaties before you start.
