Well the correct way for a 291 is that you set at full throttel and for no more then 20 degrees advance useing 93 octain gas and that is with the correct dist for the tractor as for you if it is not the correct dist. then you may have problems as the 706's are a bit fussy on there timeing and if ya get it wrong it can sezze a piston . The timeing curve is differant on the 263 dist then the 291 as the 291 can not take a bunch of advance timeing .
