I have an IH chest freezer in the basement. it ran from the 1950's until abotu 5 years ago without being unplugged. It has been moved 3 times, and there were quite a few power failures in the past 60 years, but otherwise, it always ran good.
I would bet I would have to pay someone to take it away. they were pretty common, and I don't know of anyone who collected them.
