Bill: I've read this entire thread, sounds very familiar. At one time I had a 1/2 dozen caps around from my 130, all of them put on new within 6 months. You couldn't see cracks, yet missing as you describe would occur. Quite often I'd find condensation in cap. Finally I took the distributor off for a rebuild, IH dealer knew a machinist doing these for him. Like you I didn't think it looked that bad. Must have been the cure, it was at least 10 years ago, I may have replaced that cap once since.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
