That is not always true, I have had second chance offers on things, that did show up as a second chance offer in my ebay, that was scams, one in particular was a van that I bought, off of ebay, after the auction was over, went and paid for it, brought it home, and found out I had a second chance offer, from a seller in England. Ebay does NOT catch ALL second chance offer scams, PERIOD. To be safer, contact the seller directly, thru the actual auction, NOT thru the second chance offer, and make sure it is the real deal.
