Hello all, I've been working on a 1944 W-4 for a local farmer this week. It is reported to have been the first tractor in the village I live in and hasn't been running since the 60's. It is far and away the most original tractor I've ever seen (right down to the battery with the exposed connectors for the plates on the top). After about 20 or so swings on the crank it roared to life and proceed to empty fourty years of detritus from the exhaust. Now, time for the real work to begin. It's got no hours on it but it's dirty and I imagine that once we start using it all the seals will start to leak. Nothing like the sound of the first start! Sam
