Need help with 300U Wiring Please!

Is there someone willing to let me call them to find out what I am doing wrong. I have just had the wiring fry for the second time and have no idea what I did wrong. It is just the wires from the voltage regulator to the amp meter to the switch to the starter. It shouldn"t take more than 10 minutes. I can"t find the diagram in the owners manual or the shop manual.
