Drain all the old goop out the rear end. Put a few gallons or kerosene in the rear end, use a parts washer brush or an old paint brush to brush it around and clean it up real good. Drain the kerosene out and leave it open to let it dry out, make sure its in a clean place to nothing falls in. Then refil with 90wt gear oil. Im not familuar with cubs at all but that is how i did it with my massey harris 44. Im assuming that is pretty much basic but wait till some one else chimes in to correct me or agree with me.
