1.Yes, you will find the seial number stamped in the top of the lefthand frame rail near the radiator. 2.Yes, the front lever is for the spark advace providing yours is still equiped with the correct magneto. The rear lever was for the throttle and conected by a rod to the front of the carbretor throttle housing. It may have been converted to a variable speed governor in which case there will be a notched rod along side the fuel tank to control the governor directly. 3. The radiator would have been covered with a roll-up canvas curtain 4.Oil filters were standard equipment on the Regular about 1928 or 29, If it is a Pur-o-lator it is probably original.
