I want some kind of finish mower for my super A, and I need advice regarding which type to get: a Woods belly or use the 3-point set-up? (My SA already has a 3-pt. hitch.) I can see where each might have advantages and disadvantages, to wit: Seems the belly would allow you to mow a little closer to shrubbery, fences, etc. but has limited ground clearance for loading tractor onto a trailer. Also, it looks like something you would want to leave on the tractor because you sure aren't going to install or remove it in 10 minutes. The 3-point mower would be a dream to attach and disconnect from the tractor. Probably be easier to do maintenance on the mower also(?) My biggest concern about the 3-point finish mower is the off-set pto on a SA. I've heard they can be rough on the pto shaft u-joints when mowing. Is that a legitimate concern (the off-set)? Also, I'm sure the front of the SA might get light with a raised up 5' finish mower on the back? Lastly, I suppose you can't mow quite as close to shrubs, etc. with a rear mounted mower - and you would also have to watch for the swing out when you turned(?) Those of you who mow with a SA - please tell me what you recommend. Thanks. Mike

"Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
