Dean,
My 300U has a headbolt heater. I plug it in about an hour before use. It helps a lot. I bought the tractor at an auction so I don"t know the history but it does appear to be original.

Over the fourth of July weekend, the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, was the site of the Old Gold National Antique Tractor Show.
