Pull the coil wire from the cap and hold within 1/8-1/4" of good ground on the tractor frame. Have someone to crank the engine with the starter
and look for spark from the coil wire. Do this as soon as the engine quits. Make sure the kill switch is in the on position. If there's no fire
remove coil cover and use a flatblade screwdriver to check the magnetism in your magnets. They should attract the screwdriver with some effort.

PS: If you have fire when it quits check your fuel for blockage.
