Hi catmandoo, Re replacing the parking brake band: My brother's 684 has the same problem, he asked a former IH mechanic about replacing the band and here is his answer: It is not worth replacing the band without replacing the drum as the drum will be scored and the new band will not hold. To replace drum requires many $$ splitting tractor at rear and taking top off where seat and 3 pt hitch sit on transmission. His simple solution is to buy all thread bolt with eye on end, drill a hole on floor board and mount bolt so eye of bolt comes up between brake pedals. To park tractor press brakes down and put a pin thru the eye to hold brakes on. Works great. JB2
