Thanks for all the great comments. I will have to sit down with the wife and try to rationalize this a little. I don't know anything about engine rebuilding or car mechanics, so it is a daunting task to look at. From what I am guessing, a restoration to show tractor finish could run around $3000?

Also, is there a good book that takes a lamen like me step by step through a rebuild or restoration?
