Hello all. Friend & I are assembling a Super M back together. I have a few questions. First we turned the engine over to prime the oil system. Oil cam up through the rocker shaft just fine. I noticed no oil came up through either of the two feeder holes for the cross over tube. I'm assuming the engine needs more RPM than the starter can provide to push oil through, am I correct? Also, what is the purpose of that cross over tube. It has one small hole drilled into the tube just above the exhaust rocker for No. #1 cylinder. It has me thinking this is an oil feeder for the rocker/valve area? Last, can we have the generator rebuilt to 12v specs? If not what might work in it's place other than those Delco conversion alternators? We want to keep it stock looking. Is there a 12v regulator made? Thanks for any help.
