Farmall 340 Hydraulic Pump Problems

This tractor has the externally mounted hydraulic pump on it. After the previous owner replaced the pump and it was working for me, the tractor sat unused for several months. Upon restarting, I had no hydraulics. Took out and cleaned the filter screens etc. Still nothing! Plenty of fluid in reservoir of course. So, has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do I remedy it? Or any suggestions from anyone. I certainly would appreciate your experiences and your help. Thanks.
