400 D Tranny leak

All, I have had my 400D for several years but while hauling wheat recently it began leaving a severe blood trail. It appears that the tranny fluid is spewing from the little breather cap on the PTO assembly. It leaks profusely while driving or just setting and idling. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? What could be building pressure in the case? Thanks in advance! DeWayne
