I understand what you are saying, but spread it over the hours. 5500. So in another 2500 hours he can expect to put $8500 in the tractor. Figure in how costs are rising, and he could figure to put in $10,000. You shouldn't have had to spend $17,000 on a tractor with 5500 hours. I don't know if the 3688 would be any better, but chances are good that it wouldn't be worse.
