I used a chain drive speed increaser (9 inch sprocket on the PTO and 3 inch driven) with aftermarket bearings on a steel frame mounted on the PTO bolts. It works well. You can give the belts a reverse twist if you make sure your idler pulleys are at different elevations the belt won't rub on itself.

You can also reverse the blades but that involves heating and reforging them then re-heat treating and is probably too much trouble unless you're into that sort of thing. Then the grass comes out the left and you can really see to get up close to things on the right.
