Won't have to split it to get at the clutch. Just remove the "bell housing/ fuel tank support". You may able to remove the flywheel to get at the mainseal. Just did the rear main on my W6, service manual said it had to be split, I was able to do it without having to. Just make sure that you have 2 men and a boy around to lift out the flywheel, just a little heavy.........
