Jay, Sounds like it is a symptom of a very healthy engine to me. Every tractor I've ever had "pegs the gauge and stays there". If you're worried about it, I'd put a mechanical gauge on it to see what is really going on. I wouldn't worry about it unless it is up over around 80 psi. Most gassers normally run in at 60 and the diesels 75-80 lbs. I've always set up LP irrigation engines with industrial bearings at 80 lbs also when using Murphy switches. However, get any higher and you can start to see signs of "washing" at the babbit. Good luck with your project, Allan
