Bolting the finders directly to the housing puts the finders close to the seat.....making it hard to get on and off....they make extender plates or you can make your oun, using 7/16" flat stock as wide as the finder mount and long enough to put the finder out even with the housing.....also cut 1" pieces of (i think) pipe to put under the plate on (on each bolt) the inside to hold the plate up off the housing....bolt finders directly to outer end of plate......thats what I am going to do on my M .......hope this helps Don
