Let me ask this one then. When I got this tractor, the previous owner had increased the compression on the engine as he wanted to make this a pulling tractor. It ran to unload it and it was stored in my shed for a year. As it sits there is no kill switch on the mag, just a ground wire to the manifold from the mag. When I try to roll start it I get a puff of white smoke and it acts as it it wants to fire, it just won"t turn over/start. I added an on/off toggle switch which is grounded and tried to roll start it with the same results. What am I missing? What else can I try? This mag was supposedly rebuilt within the last two years. What am I missing? Any tips on how to get it to fire? Neither roll starting or using the starter has panned out. Any advice would be appreciated.
