Hi I have a 1952 cub tractor and I am having a charging problem.I know it will run on its own power from the generator,If the battery is unhooked if all is working ok.But it is not all working ok and it is hard to get to the generator or the voltage regulator. How would or how can I check to see if it is the voltiage regulator or the generator giving me the problem.I bought a new battery and running fine but it is discharging and it is + Ground.I unhook the battery and the tractor will quit and the amp meter shows discharge. But are they a easy way of checking which is bad without taking the hood and all off.I think if you hook up the battery to the generator it will motor if i am correct any info would be appreciated or is it in need of being polorized.
