The reason I ask is that my tank on the Super A seems to leak from under the cap, not from the vent. Got a new cap several years ago, same style as the old one, and it still leaked. Don't know if the new replacement caps would be any better. Seems to me the lip at the bottom of the opening may be worn enough to prevent a tight seal. Made a thicker gasket and it did not help. Would what you have help.
