Re: 806 voltage regulator

Well, now I'm talking to myself. The main harness part number is confirmed to be correct(385012-R91 for an alternator diesel). However the hot wire to #3 terminal of the voltage regulator connects to the hot lead from the starter at the multiple connector on the right side of dash which goes to the key switch? My old schematic shows the lead to the voltage regulator connecting to the (pink) wire from the fuel receiving unit(guage in the dash). This would not allow the flow of current until the switch is turned on.?????? I have my doubts about this new harness. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this before or can confirm that the lead to number three on the voltage regulator should be a live wire with the switch off?
