The D-188 diesel engine was only offered in the International & Farmall 504 and the 2504 Industrial tractor if I'm not mistaken. They were built between '62 and '68, 46 pto horsepower. According to the serial number you listed it's a '65 model. The letter suffixes mean - S = Torque Amplifier w/provision for Independent PTO, X = High Speed Low & Reverse Gears, Y = 12 G.P.M. Hyd. pump, FF = 4.5 G.P.M. Hyd. Pump. The head gasket number is 308379R3 and the torque for the head bolts are 75 - 80 ft. lbs.
