If you find you CAN barely get to them, keep in mind that there are cotter pins through the bottom of the bolts that need to be removed as well. By far the most fun job I had on my restoration. I got to use words I hadn't thought of in years. It wasn't until after I was done that I picked up a set of ratcheting box wrenches at Sears that would have made the job a snap.
