My dad had a U4 or U6 for irrigation. I was only a kid then, and barely remember it but his ran on gasoline. I imagine there were a lot of those in that area that ran on natural gas. But, I am almost sure those were all conversions. Natural gas or propane are still almost universally used for irrigation engines, new or old, in the Great Plains.
