A lot of times if a carb does that right after a rebuild it means you have missed something in the carb. Let me guess its one with out a main jet adjustment. If that it true you missed something in the carb. I had that problem a couple weeks ago on an Allis C and it would hunt, I opened up the carb 2 more times before I got it running right. It now runs good, I even drove it 3 miles today and mowed a little hay with it.
