Allan: The steel parts I needed were no longer available, so I used the old ones,(in some cases there wasn't much left) to make a cardboard pattern along with a 100% scale drawing of the bend angles. I went to a shop here that makes dump truck bodies and special decks for flatbeds. I used 12 guage steel but you may not need that heavy for what your doing 16 would be plenty. The stock only came in 8 ft lengths so I had to weld the seams. They just slapped the pattern onto the steel and cut, then slid it into the break. The whole thing was just $240. If you took the old one in they could probably make one from that. Time is money for these guys so if you can make it simple its cheaper.
