Unfortunately, I'm going to blow your theory right out of the water, because: 1. The A did not have hydraulics, period. It was not even an option. There was no place to bolt on a pump, even. No flat spot on the engine block, no hole into the timing gear train. 2. The Cub pump will not bolt up to a Super A/100/130/140. The Super A, 100, 130, and 140 are all essentially the same as far as hydraulics go. You got the correct pump, BUT, there were two different pumps used throughout the history of this particular design. Cessna was one, and there was another whose name escapes me at this point. I'm assuming that there were a couple of differences between the two pumps, probably including volume.
