I have no idea what you're talking about, unless you mean the COOLANT ("antifreeze" or "radiator fluid") drain on the side of the block. If you see oil in there, you're in BIG trouble. There is no dipstick, and no way to visually check the oil by "looking in" anywhere. The fill pipe with dipstick behind the engine, under the gas tank, is for the hydraulics. You check the oil by opening the two petcocks on the side of the oil pan under the engine. If it runs out the bottom petcock, you have enough oil. Exact oil is not important, as long as it's good quality oil, and is rated for 30W, either straight 30W or 10W-30, if you're going to run the tractor in the summertime.
