Dad's been having that problem in ALL his gassers ever since they took the lead out of the fuel. It's not so bad these days because the every-day tractors are all diesels now, but back when we still had the 560, the M was in everyday use, and the 756 still had its gas engine, he was constantly pulling plugs and scraping them down with his jacknife. We were strictly forbidden to allow a gas tractor to idle for very long. Work 'em and they'd run great. Let 'em idle for more than a couple of minutes, and they'd start missing and sputtering, just like yours.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
