You've got that straight. I absolutely HATED that thing; worst darned diesel I ever ran across when I first got it. Hard startin', wet-stackin', loud, poor-excuse for an engine.

Well, until the first day I put it in the field, that is.........

I'm a total convert now. Horsepower for horsepower, there's not an American diesel that can compare to the torque or long-life dependability of those Germans.

And they just simply sip fuel like an English lady at tea time. :>)
