Alot of the value of the windmill depends on 1-what brand the mill itself is(are there still parts available? Aeromotors and other are still readily available) 2- what size is it...diameter of the fan(around here six-footers are common and eight footers are around....auction prices for used 6ft motors are about $500 and 8's are a bit more). 3- what kinda tower is it on? If it's a wooden tower the tower isn't worth anything...but if it's on a factory steel tower, the tower alone has value along with what the head is worth.

Your best bet is to check the local yellowpages for local welldrillers who deal in windmills and have one of them come take a look at it....lots of them around here do a pretty good business taking mills and steel towers off of old farmsteads and refurbishing them......

Last resort- if it's an older obsolete brand of mill, put it on ebay and sell it as a collectors item....bet you'll be suprised what it'd bring.
