Hi Maplehill, if the hydraulic system is squeeling that would indicate the pump is good but something is plugged the output side of the hydraulic system and everything is being dumped thru the relief valve and the squealing noise is the relief valve. Under your left running board is the hydraulic filter canister, behind the filter canister is the MCV valve. The MCV valve's function is to rout the high pressure hydraulic oil from the hydraulic pump to the various users of the hydraulic system, like power steering, 3pt etc. The relief valves are located in this MCV valve. DON'T ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE MCV VALVE without a shop service manual and proper tools. If you have remotes out the back, just work the remote control lever forward and backward a couple times to make sure the control valve is not stuck. JB2
