Agressive shifting from 4th to fifth (and lots of it) will wear the spline teeth on the inside of fourth/fifth slider. (A month ago it was a major topic in the archives.) The input shaft, and the Slider gear look good from the outside, but they are worn to nubs on the inside. Replacement is the only solution. Good used gears will do.
