Bill is right in that the camber both makes them easier to steer and has them trying to go straight ahead. The v'd tricycle front end also has caster built into it to straighten up the wheels after a turn and keep them going straight. If someone doesn't believe it, just put the bolster on backward and then try and drive the tractor down the road in a straight line. Also, someone else mentioned that the dual front was not a tricycle. The dual front wheels are always referred to as a tricycle tractor in Farmall nomenclature. When equipped with a single front it is still a tricycle front but it is usually stated as a tricycle tractor with a single front rather than a simple tricycle tractor. Single fronts were fairly common even through the 06 series. We sold a number of Farmall 706's with single fronts. Harold H
