Is the hole your talking about towards the rear of the carb.,and does it have a small seal about 3/8 of an inch up inside of it and if so you have an adjustment needle missing.If the hole is towards the front there is supposed to be a brass retainer nut/plug for the main jet I believe.Sounds like you need to find a parts carb and a rebuild kit for a w4 or an H carb will also work.Both tractors use the very same C152 engine and all the parts will interchange with no problems.If this doesnt help you try posting a question for the tractorvet , Hugh Mackay , or AllaninNE they have helped me every rime I have had a problem.
