Like Dave and Josh below, the oven trick worked for me too. After "baking" the gear at 400 deg for 1/2 hour or so it dropped right onto place on the flywheel then clamped itself tightly as it cooled. (Tip: If you are married recommend using the oven only on "girl's night out"...) FWIW - While it will work I don't recommend flipping and reusing a worn ring gear. Rather put a crowbar to your wallet and buy yourself a new one! It'll cost <$40. After the time/effort you go to split the tractor it'll be money well spent...
